The Fox Den is excited and proud to present the Fauquier Amateur Radio Association’s First Annual Fox Hunt on Saturday, 19 October 2019!
This will be a 2m Fox Hunt, so plan your equipment accordingly. The fox will be transmitting on 146.550 MHz, and will be turned loose at 13:00 EDT. The hunt will end at 15:00, or when the last hound(s) find the Fox.
We will have two group starting points – one Primary and one Secondary. The Primary will be at Great Meadows Gate 2, and the Secondary will be in The Plains. Click on the links below for pdf maps and Google Earth KMLs for each location.

Brad – N7IVV – will be at the Primary Start Point to assist any who might need or want some help getting started. All participants are welcome to begin at ANY location they want, whether it is a designated SP or not. The search area be in the vicinity of Marshall, The Plains, Old Tavern, and Rectortown.
Plan to be at your chosen SP around 12:00 in order to give yourself time to set up your equipment and get organized.
All participants will gather at [location TBD) after the Fox Hunt stories and bragging about their experiences. This will be someplace you can enjoy your favorite “refreshments.”
If you are planning on participating please fill out this signup sheet so that we know who will be in the field. All participants must be registered before 12:30 Saturday. You do NOT have to have radio equipment to participate – you are welcome to join a team!
